In honor of this being the week of Mother's Day, Dr Drew discussed some of the struggles that modern mothers deal with. Some excellent points and insights, as usual.
Where Dr Drew and I differ, however, is that his POV tends to see all women as the victim of circumstances,
"bad" men, or an unfair society.
In my POV, while this is often true, what is also quite often true (and few want to admit or discuss) is that too many women are in their situation due to their own character flaws - they have developed habits of vice instead of virtue.
Unfortunately, while most women remain good, loving mothers, the myth of the all-loving, self-sacrificing, noble mother doesn't pass a cursory review of the current overall state of our culture. MissLed is written in part to provoke a discussion of how we can re-set our plans and expectations for parenting.
